The Welcome & Goodbye plugin is a key feature for any server that aims to personalize members entrance experiences.
Enhance your server’s welcome experience by greeting new members with messages from AI characters. Please note that this feature may require the Server-Wide AI Plan for full functionality.
How Does This Work?
Locate or Create an AI Character
Start by browsing the MEE6 AI Characters library to choose an existing character, or create a custom character suited to your server’s needs.
Add the AI Character to Your Server
After choosing your character, click the Add to server button or select the + icon to integrate the character into your server.
Activate the "Welcome New Members" Feature
Make sure the Welcome New Members option is enabled so that the AI character can automatically greet new members..
To get started, simply click the "Get Started" button at the bottom of the feature page.
The Captcha Verification feature helps ensure that new members are real people and not bots by requiring them to complete a captcha.

Verification Button
Advanced Settings
Set up the verification role, channel permissions, and apply the role to current members in the Advanced Settings.
For the verification role, MEE6 can create one automatically or use an existing role from your server. MEE6 needs the Manage Roles permission to assign roles, and the MEE6 role must be higher than the verification role in the role hierarchy. For more details, visit the Support Portal.
The Disable View Channels for @everyone option ensures that the View Channels permission is disabled for the @everyone during verification.
You can also enable the option to Assign the @verified Role to Existing Members to skip verification for current members.
What Will Happen?
MEE6 will create a #verification channel, grant View Channel permission to @verified role, and deny it to @everyone.
It will assign the @verified role to existing members and post the verification embed and button in the #verification channel.
Important Information
The 'Captcha Verification Plugin' is currently available only for small servers at this time, and may be expanded to larger servers in the future.
Send a personalized welcome message to a server channel when a user joins.
Welcome Message Channel
Welcome Message
You can also send a welcome card image with the message, editable with a Premium Subscription.
Please note that MEE6 requires the Send Messages permission to be able to send the welcome message to the channel. If you select the embed message option, MEE6 also requires the Embed Links permission in the channel. If you enable the welcome card option, MEE6 will also require the Attach Images permission in the channel.
Send a private welcome message in the user's Direct Messages (DMs).
The private message can also be a Text message or an Embed message. Variables work in these messages as well. The welcome card can also be attached here.
Users need to have their DMs enabled in the server to receive this message. They can enable this in User Settings → Privacy and Safety → "Allow direct messages from server members."
Important Information
MEE6 will automatically attach a gray, disabled button to welcome DMs. This button will display the name of the server from which the DM originated.
Assign a role to new members when they join the server.
Choose the role to assign, and make sure MEE6 has the Manage Roles permission. The MEE6 role must be higher than the role assigned.
MEE6 requires Manage Roles permission to be able to give out the welcome role. The MEE6 role needs to be higher than the role you are giving out in your server's role hierarchy. You can learn how to fix this in the Support Portal.
Send a message when a user leaves the server.
You can select the channel and customize the message. Keep in mind that pings may not format correctly in leave messages.
Important Information
Due to Discord limitations, the leave message can only be sent as a message in a channel.
It is also recommended not to only include user pings in the leave message, as they will not format correctly.
